We would like to
welcome all of you back for the 2011-2012 season.
We’d like to thank all of you that participated in
the 108th MSUSBCBA Tournament that was
held in Saginaw.
We had a very nice
turnout and also had a “few” good scores.
Tournament
scores have been lower than expected the past 3
(three) years and it frustrates a lot of bowlers who
expect to score a bit more when they come to the
Tournament.
Keeping that
in mind, at our Annual Meeting in June we (The Board
& myself) decided to make a few changes for the
upcoming Tournament (the 109th) in
Monroe.
The first
(and most important) is that all bowlers with a
minimum of 18 (eighteen) games in the MSUSBCBA
Tournament will have a State Tournament average. The
average is taken from the last 4 (four) years
(2008-2011) and will be based on all four years
bowled in our State Tournament (minimum 18 games).
To find out
what your State Tournament average is, go to the
MSUSBCBA website (mistatebowl.com), click on links,
once you’re in links, go to State Tournament
average, you are there. (It is recommended that you
are using Mozilla FireFox as your browser to
view the averages).
Secondly, we
are allowing multiple entries in the team event
only. Doubles & Singles stay the same (twice only in
those events). You may enter & bowl with the same
line-up but you may only cash once (the higher
score). When entering with a different line-up you
must change two (2) players in the line-up.
We hope to
see you in the Tournament in Monroe (Team - Monroe
Sports Center & D/S - Nortel Lanes), but most of all
we wish you success on the lanes and hope you have a
great season.
