Dear Parent, Association Official, or MI State USBC Youth Coach:
Attached you will find an application for four scholarships to be awarded by the Michigan State USBC Bowling Association in the amount of $2,000.00 each to four young men in Michigan.
Applicants must be graduating seniors with unimpaired amateur standing in all athletics and must be a MI State USBC Youth certified bowler in a MI State USBC Youth certified league during the present season.
Consideration will be given for the following areas: 1. Contribution to bowling and community 2. Scholastics 3. Letters of recommendation.
Each scholarship is valid until the recipient’s 21st birthday and may be used at any accredited college, university or vocational school approved by the Scholarship Committee.
Recipients will be notified in May. The awards will be made at the Annual Awards Banquet of the Michigan State USBC Bowling Association held the 3rd or 4th Saturday in June. Winners are invited and encouraged to attend.
All nomination forms must be submitted and signed by a coach or MI State USBC Youth local association official on or before the scholarship deadline of MARCH 1st.
In addition to the completed application, the following items must be submitted:
1. High school transcript with class rank.
2. Two (2) letters of recommendation from a teacher, coach or state / local MI State USBC Youth association official.
